5 Steps to Planning your Doggie Weddings

Who doesn’t love Doggie Weddings?

If you frequent the dog park or have a very sociable dog, it’s not uncommon for dogs to act very well with particular dogs. If you are familiar with the owner and the dog’s get along, it might be fun to have a wedding for your doggies. Who doesn’t love the sound of doggie weddings?

At TLC Pet Boarding, there are few too few doggie weddings happening in the world, and we want to change that. So we are creating this step by step guide for you to be fully able to coordinate your puppy ceremony. It’s very simple, all you have to do is organize the venue, guests, wardrobe, food, and ceremony. Doesn’t that sound easy?

5 Steps to Planning your Doggie Weddings

Steps to your Dogs Wedding

• The Venue is everything. Find a park nearby and rent a pavilion for the weekend. It needs to be treated like a real wedding, or you might be sacrificing key points of cuteness. Any pavilion or location can be dressed up to be as fancy as it needs to be.

Guests must be familiar with the dogs and comfortable with them. The best guests for the occasion are ones that already know the pets. People who attend the same dog parks or friends and family of each person. It’s a great way to meet plenty of people in a happy situation.

• The Wardrobe is so vital. While it is okay for the attendees to be dressed casually, the pets should be dressed in doggie tuxedos and doggie veils. The more dogs dressed up in wedding attire, the better.

Food is a difficult choice for the organizer. If you want to have a universal appeal, it might be best if you order food that is safe for dogs and edible for humans. If you keep all of the food available for both parties, it makes the wedding much more connected, casual and fun. (Don’t feed dogs champagne!)

• The Ceremony will be beautiful. You don’t have to hire actual figures to ordain the wedding; you can do it yourself if you’d like. However, I highly suggest buying doggie wedding tags. Rings might not be the best for canines that only use their toes, but matching tags are adorable ways to unite them.
